Select appropriate width of Nemoa™ Fresh to be used. Wrap the Nemoa™ Fresh spirally, overlapping the previous layer one-half to two-thirds the width of the material. For ease of handling, start at the smallest circumstance and wrap towards the largest circumstance of the limb.
Apply the bandage with the adhesive side facing outwards away from the skin.

Additional Nemoa™ Fresh undercast padding can be added to any area deemed in need of extra padding; e.g. pressure points, bony prominences and along the edges.
Additional layers will increase drying time of a wet cast.

For protection at the ends of the cast-the extra turn of Nemoa™ Fresh applied proximally and distally can be turned down over the edge and secured onto the cast

Where this is not desired, the extra turn of Nemoa™ Fresh, which had been applied proximally and distally, may be left projecting beyond the cast edge.

To complete the waterproof cast, synthetic casting tape is applied on top of the Nemoa™ Fresh as for traditional casts.

Nemoa™ Fresh is more fragile with less resistance than traditional undercast padding materials, therefore it is important to use the cast saw with care and light touch when removing casts lined with this material. Nemoa™ Safer, a tape which can be incorporated under the cast at the cutting line to provide protection during cast removal, is also available
